Trump-inspired digital cards debut on Bitcoin via Ordinals
The "Trump Bitcoin Digital Trading Cards" NFT collection launched with 160 items using the Ordinals protocol on Bitcoin. Users who purchased the "Mugshot Edition" cards can claim NFTs through Magic Eden until January 31. As of now, 19 out of 119 available Ordinals have been minted. The cards utilize "Alpha sats," the first satoshis of a Bitcoin block. Six Trump-inspired Ordinals are listed on Magic Eden, with prices ranging from 0.25 BTC to 9.8 BTC. The Ordinals market saw a resurgence in late 2024, with monthly inscriptions increasing to between 54,000 and 92,000. Trump has previously launched multiple NFT collections, including the "America First" edition in August 2024, which offers various benefits. Over the past 90 days, sales of the first edition of Trump-themed NFTs rose by 71.1%, while the second edition saw a 151% increase in sales.
