XRP Logo Lands on Kansas Jayhawks Jerseys as Ripple Inks Multi-Year Deal
Ripple has signed a multi-year sponsorship deal with University of Kansas Athletics that will put the XRP logo on all Kansas jerseys and make XRP the official cryptocurrency of Kansas Athletics. The partnership also includes funding for student-athlete education on traditional finance and digital assets, plus efforts to connect KU graduates with technology careers. Kansas leaders framed the deal as an innovative move for college sports, and Ripple’s president, a KU alumnus, adds a personal link to the university. The agreement reflects crypto companies’ renewed push into sports marketing after earlier high-profile failures such as FTX and Terra. XRP did not get an immediate lift from the news: the token fell about 4.2% and remains far below its 2024 peak.
