24X Files SEC Proposal To Bring Tokenized Russell 1000 Stocks To Regulated Markets
24X National Exchange has filed a proposed rule change with US regulators to allow certain securities to trade in tokenized form under a Depository Trust Company pilot. The plan would apply to eligible assets such as Russell 1000 stocks and major ETFs, while keeping tokenized and traditional shares on the same order book if they are fungible. Traders wanting tokenized settlement would flag orders and provide wallet details, but clearing and settlement would remain within existing regulated infrastructure. The proposal is significant because it treats tokenization as a market-structure change for regulated securities, not as a new crypto token market. It could help define how tokenized public equities fit into US rules and support real-world asset tokenization in a compliant framework. It is only a proposal, pending SEC review.
