Ondo Brings 430 Tokenized Stocks And ETFs To Uniswap
Ondo Finance has integrated more than 430 tokenized stocks and ETFs with Uniswap on Ethereum and BNB Chain, expanding access to tokenized versions of major assets such as Nvidia, Tesla, Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, SPY, and QQQ. The goal is to let eligible users trade these assets through decentralized infrastructure using the Uniswap interface and UniswapX API. The key limitation is that US persons are excluded. Ondo uses KYC and compliance whitelists, so this is not open access for all DeFi users. That restriction reflects the regulatory sensitivity of tokenized equities, which can resemble securities more closely than typical crypto tokens. The move fits the broader real-world assets trend in DeFi, where platforms are trying to bring familiar financial products on-chain with faster settlement and better composability. The success of tokenized equities will depend on liquidity, regulation, redemption quality, and whether users actually prefer on-chain exposure over traditional brokerages.
