Alchemy acquires NFT launchpad with 1 million users
Alchemy has acquired HeyMint, a California-based NFT launchpad, to enhance its smart wallet infrastructure. The deal, with undisclosed funding, aims to simplify user onboarding for Web3 applications. HeyMint co-founder Flor Ronsmans De Vry will join Alchemy. HeyMint attracted over 1 million users in two years and facilitated $38 million in NFT sales, supporting brands like The Sandbox and Universal Music Group. In 2023, it also enabled NFT sales for the Partnership for Central America, which included Mastercard. This acquisition follows Alchemy's purchase of Dexter Lab for real-time data infrastructure for Solana. The crypto M&A landscape is becoming more active, with significant deals like Robinhood's acquisition of WonderFi for $179 million and Coinbase's $2.9 billion acquisition of Deribit. Ripple also completed a $1.25 billion acquisition of Hidden Road. Despite a decline in the number of deals, the value of crypto venture capital investments has more than doubled compared to the previous year.
