Onchain privacy is a necessity in the age of AI — Shielded CEO
Blockchain privacy tools, particularly zero-knowledge (ZK) proofs, are essential for protecting online user data amid rising AI threats, according to Eran Barak, CEO of Shielded Technologies. Centralized servers are vulnerable to AI-assisted hackers targeting valuable data, leading to significant returns on investment for such attacks. ZK-proofs allow verification of on-chain data without revealing it, making hacking individual wallets less appealing due to lower potential rewards. Privacy solutions are increasingly prioritized by Web3 developers as institutions seek tools to safeguard sensitive data. Additionally, Cardano co-founder Charles Hoskinson announced a multichain airdrop for the Midnight token, aimed at fostering collaboration within the industry. Midnight will also allow users across the Web3 ecosystem to mine the token post-airdrop.
