At Least 36 Public Firms to Add Bitcoin by Year-End: Blockware
By the end of 2025, at least 36 additional public companies are expected to add Bitcoin to their balance sheets, representing a 25% increase from the current 141 companies. Public company Bitcoin adoption surged 120% in 2025. Blockware Intelligence noted that many new adopters are either newly established or struggling companies, which may find it easier to invest retained earnings into Bitcoin for higher returns without operational risks. Corporate interest in Bitcoin reached new highs, with companies adding a record 159,107 BTC in Q2 2025. However, some analysts express caution, suggesting that the Bitcoin treasury strategy may have a limited lifespan and that only a few companies will survive long-term. Concerns about potential market corrections and the sustainability of Bitcoin holdings have been raised by industry experts.
