Binance France emails announce closure of its users’ accounts on Dec. 31

Binance France told customers that accounts will close on Dec. 31, 2026. Users with assets remaining from Nov. 29 will face a monthly maintenance fee of 0.025% of their balance, with a minimum charge of 10 USDC; withdrawals before that date avoid the fee. Assets left after closure may be treated as belonging to an inactive account and converted, transferred or otherwise processed. Binance said it is progressively restricting some services for affected EU users following the end of the MiCA transition period, after failing to obtain authorization by the deadline. Reports also raised the possibility of similar notices in Spain and Belgium, which Binance did not address.
