Binance opens crypto trading to AI agents with user-set controls
Binance launched Agent OS, a developer platform that lets AI agents access market data, monitor user accounts, and execute crypto trades on the exchange. It works with tools like ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor, and lets users grant agents limited permissions to view accounts and trade. Users can isolate activity in dedicated subaccounts, adjust permissions, and revoke access anytime. Binance can monitor trades made through Agent OS but not the agent’s external data sources or reasoning inside the AI app. The platform also connects agents to Binance payment and onchain tools for transfers, wallet use, and other blockchain services. The move follows similar products from Coinbase, Kraken, and OKX as exchanges race to support AI-driven trading and onchain activity.
