Binance Will Retain Its International Dominance After U.S. Settlement: Bernstein
Summary
Binance, a dominant crypto exchange, experienced minor outflows of less than $1 billion after news of the settlement with the U.S. government. However, customer panic was minimal, with the exchange still holding $67 billion of customer funds. Bernstein suggests that Binance will remain a substantial entity in non-US markets, despite competition from rivals such as Coinbase. Despite a $4.3 billion fine, Binance has enough funds to maintain operations. The plea deal, which does not include the Securities and Exchange Commission, is expected to be favorable for Binance and its founder, CZ Zhao. Crypto services provider Matrixport predicts that Binance will continue to be among the top three exchanges in the near term.
