Bitcoin ETFs Snap Nine-Day Inflow Streak as Ethereum Funds Extend Their Run
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs ended a nine-day inflow streak on Aug. 28 with $201.9 million in net outflows, cutting cumulative inflows to about $55.1 billion and total net assets to roughly $93.9 billion. The pullback followed a strong run of $2.8 billion in eight days, including several daily inflows above $300 million. By contrast, U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs continued attracting money, pulling in $102.1 million that day and extending their inflow streak to 10 days. Cumulative Ethereum ETF inflows reached about $12.9 billion, with total net assets around $13.8 billion. The diverging flows came as Bitcoin weakened after hawkish Federal Reserve remarks at Jackson Hole. Despite the day’s Bitcoin outflows, overall institutional demand for both crypto ETF categories remains strong.
