Bitcoin Investors Shift To Strong Distribution As Demand Fades, Glassnode Reveals
Bitcoin investors are experiencing a notable shift toward distribution, as indicated by the Bitcoin Accumulation Trend Score, which has recently reached low levels. This score reflects the overall accumulation activity among BTC investors, with values near 1 indicating accumulation and values near 0 suggesting distribution. The score showed heavy accumulation in late 2024, contributing to a price rally to new all-time highs. However, since January, the score has indicated a distribution phase, which previously led to a long consolidation period for Bitcoin. Currently, the cryptocurrency is facing a significant decline, with the Accumulation Trend Score remaining low. Despite some buying during initial dips, recent price levels do not reflect significant cost basis support. Bitcoin's price fell below $77,000 but has since recovered to around $82,500.
