Bitcoin rally sends crypto stocks soaring as miners, treasury companies jump

Summary

Crypto stocks rallied sharply as a broader crypto market rebound lifted risk appetite after the US Treasury said it would double certain long-dated bond buybacks to support market liquidity. Bitcoin miner Canaan led gains, rising more than 25%, while MARA Holdings, Strive, and Metaplanet also jumped strongly. Coinbase and Robinhood posted double-digit advances, showing the move spread across public companies tied to digital assets. Bitcoin rose more than 23% for the week, briefly above $79,000, and Ether climbed nearly 30% to above $2,400. The rally also got a boost from President Trump, who urged Congress to advance the stalled CLARITY Act, a bill aimed at creating clearer U.S. crypto rules and defining SEC and CFTC oversight. He also renewed the idea of the U.S. government buying Bitcoin on a large scale.
