Bitcoin Staking Protocol Babylon Reveals BABY Token Airdrop
The Babylon Foundation announced an airdrop of its BABY token, allocating 6% (600 million BABY) to early users and supporters. The majority, 585 million BABY, will go to those who staked Bitcoin with Babylon. Tokens will be automatically transferred to registered BABY addresses upon the launch of the Babylon Genesis Network, with no claims required. The airdrop includes 30 million BABY for staking participation, 335 million for Base Phase-1 staking rewards, 200 million for transitioning Phase-1 stakes to Phase-2, and smaller allocations for Pioneer Pass NFT holders and GitHub contributors. Babylon Genesis is a layer-1 proof-of-stake blockchain secured by Bitcoin, allowing dual staking of BTC and BABY tokens. The Foundation previously raised over $70 million to integrate Bitcoin into proof-of-stake systems.
