Bitcoin SV investors attempt to resurrect 2019 Binance lawsuit
Investors of Bitcoin Satoshi's Vision (BSV) are reviving a 2019 lawsuit against Binance for delisting the altcoin, claiming it harmed BSV's price. Plaintiffs argue that a July 2024 UK Competition Appeal Tribunal decision dismissing their "loss of chance" claim should be reconsidered. They seek $9 billion in damages, asserting that Binance's delisting and similar actions led to BSV's long-term price decline. If successful, they could claim up to £10 billion (approximately $13 billion) from Binance. Following the news, BSV's price rose about 15% to around $42, though it remains in a long-term downtrend. Binance delisted BSV in April 2019 due to the controversial behavior of its creator, Craig Wright, who falsely claimed to be Bitcoin's creator. Since then, BSV has experienced multiple 51% attacks, undermining its network security.
