Bitcoin to $145K by October? Why this 'crazy accurate' 4chan prediction is sketchy
A viral screenshot claims an anonymous 4chan post from Dec. 2018 accurately predicted several Bitcoin price levels from 2019 through 2024 and still forecasts $145,000 by October 2026. Some past targets do line up with real BTC moves, including roughly $67,000 in Nov. 2021 and around $16,000 in Nov. 2022. But the prediction is unverified because there is no archive link, tripcode, or other proof tying it to a specific original post. A similar July 2024 Binance Square post used much of the same wording and targets but with different September 2024 pricing, suggesting the image may have been edited or recycled. The market-cap math also appears wrong: $145,000 BTC would imply about $2.9 trillion at current supply, not $5.7 trillion. The claim that “we hold around 90% of total supply” is also unsupported. Overall, the screenshot should be treated as unproven rather than evidence of a reliable prophecy.
