Bitcoiner PlanB slams ETH: ‘Centralized & premined’ shitcoin
PlanB criticized Ethereum and its co-founder Vitalik Buterin, mocking a past comment by Buterin about the Bitcoin stock-to-flow model. He claimed Ethereum is centralized and premined, highlighting its transition to proof-of-stake (PoS) and changes in issuance as detrimental. PlanB noted the high storage requirements for running Ethereum nodes, stating he cannot operate one due to its size compared to Bitcoin nodes, which are more accessible and decentralized. Jeremiah O’Connor countered that Ethereum serves different purposes than Bitcoin, emphasizing its complexity as a global computer. PlanB labeled Buterin a "single point of failure" in Ethereum's development and expressed concerns over the network's ability to roll back transactions, referencing past incidents in both Ethereum and Bitcoin. He argued that Ethereum's governance changes could undermine its value compared to Bitcoin's fixed supply.
