Bitwise brings crypto model portfolios to retail apps as issuers seek demand beyond ticker picking
Bitwise Asset Management is bringing its crypto model portfolios into Parrot Finance’s retail investing app, shifting a strategy first built for financial advisors into a consumer-facing automated advice interface. The portfolios offer broad crypto exposure, thematic strategies, crypto-equity options, and risk-managed rotation with systematic monitoring and rebalancing. Parrot, an SEC-registered RIA app that links brokerage accounts and uses algorithmic recommendations, now lets users access these allocation frameworks inside a single workflow rather than choosing tickers one by one. The partnership highlights a distribution change, not proven fund flows: Parrot says clients hold over $200 million on the platform, but actual uptake of the models is undisclosed. The key test is whether retail users will adopt crypto as a managed portfolio sleeve, not just as individual Bitcoin or Ethereum trades.
