BlackRock put $209M behind Bitcoin’s rebound but can it last?
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs returned to net inflows on July 6, with about $266 million added across the complex. BlackRock’s IBIT accounted for most of it, taking in roughly $209 million, while Grayscale’s GBTC still saw about $45 million in outflows and its lower-fee BTC fund added about $42 million. The main question is whether IBIT’s large inflow marks the return of sustained institutional demand or just a one-day rebound after recent selling. IBIT’s size makes the flow notable, but the bullish case depends on follow-through: more positive ETF days, broader participation from other issuers, and shrinking legacy outflows from GBTC. Bitcoin was near $63,000 on July 7, so ETF flows remain a key real-time signal for whether institutional buying is supporting the market or simply tracking price strength.
