BNY to offer institutional crypto staking through Galaxy partnership
BNY and Galaxy have partnered to add institutional crypto staking to BNY’s digital asset custody platform. Eligible clients will be able to earn staking rewards on supported proof-of-stake assets without withdrawing them from custody. Galaxy will provide the staking infrastructure and act as a design partner for BNY’s broader digital asset platform. The firms aim to bundle custody, staking, reporting, and tax services into one offering for institutional clients, simplifying digital asset operations. The deal also extends BNY’s broader push to bring digital assets into traditional financial infrastructure, building on its existing regulated custody services for major cryptocurrencies and its work on tokenized fund administration and onchain transfer agency records.
