Circle expands USDC to OKX ecosystem with X Layer launch
Summary
Circle has launched native USDC and its Cross-Chain Transfer Protocol on X Layer, OKX’s Ethereum layer-2 network. The move extends USDC into an ecosystem tied to one of the world’s largest crypto exchanges and gives developers EVM compatibility for easier Ethereum app deployment. CCTP enables USDC transfers between X Layer and other supported blockchains by burning tokens on the source chain and minting them on the destination chain. The integration supports payments, DeFi lending and borrowing, trading, and cross-chain transfers. Eligible businesses can also use Circle Mint for USDC on- and offramps.
