Coinbase says it cut a 90-case AI support test from 1–2 weeks to 30–45 minutes
Coinbase says its Autopilot system can test about 90 customer-support procedures in 30–45 minutes, down from one to two weeks of manual work. The system simulates support conversations and account states, evaluates results, and uses release gates; a human must approve procedure changes before deployment. Coinbase also describes separate access controls for customer data and sensitive account changes, including case-linked permissions, audit records and approval workflows. The disclosures show faster testing and safeguards, but do not quantify effects on customer resolution, satisfaction, errors or staffing. Coinbase says parts of the automation remain under development, and its next challenge is demonstrating that the systems improve live support while keeping automated access accountable.
