Blockchain.com has received registration from the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), allowing it to offer crypto brokerage, custody, and institutional services in the UK under strict regulation. This move enhances user protection and regulatory oversight for UK customers. Founded in the UK in 2011, Blockchain.com has facilitated over $1.2 trillion in transactions and served 90 million wallets worldwide. The FCA approval follows its MiCA license, permitting operations across 30 European Economic Area countries, positioning Blockchain.com to serve key regulated markets. The company intends to seek full authorization under the UK’s forthcoming comprehensive crypto regime, expected by 2027. Additionally, Blockchain.com is reportedly considering a U.S. public listing via a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), joining other recent listings by major crypto firms such as Circle, Bullish, and eToro.
