Crypto Wealth Firm Nexo Sponsors $3 Million Golf Tournament at Trump International Scotland
Nexo has extended its title sponsorship of the DP World Tour’s Nexo Championship, a professional golf tournament held at Trump International Golf Links in Aberdeenshire, Scotland, from August 20-23. The prize pool has increased to $3 million. This marks the second year of Nexo’s title partnership, which is part of a three-year deal with the DP World Tour. Nexo’s branding will feature prominently throughout the event, including tee-boxes, leaderboards, and broadcast spots. The company sees golf as a strategic fit due to its financially active global audience. Nexo also sponsors other sports events, including the Australian Open, Argentina’s national soccer team, and a Formula 1 team. The firm plans to evaluate the success of the sponsorship by tracking media and social engagement. Nexo had previously exited the U.S. market after regulatory issues but intends to re-enter through a partnership with Bakkt.
