Crypto.com to withdraw Hong Kong consumer app citing regulatory changes
Summary
Crypto.com will end consumer app services in Hong Kong on Feb. 1, 2027, and has notified affected customers about closing accounts and withdrawing funds. The company cited regulatory changes. Its separate Hong Kong entity applied for a virtual asset trading platform license in February 2024 and remains in a transitional “deemed-to-be-licensed” status.
