Changpeng Zhou, founder and former CEO of Binance, announced no immediate plans to run another crypto exchange during his appearance at Binance Blockchain Week in Dubai. This marked his first public event since serving a four-month prison sentence for violating the Bank Secrecy Act. Zhou reflected on his prison experience, emphasizing the loss of freedom and time for reflection. He noted the contrast between his situation and the lack of individual accountability in recent financial settlements. Zhou is now focusing on Giggle Academy, an educational platform aimed at providing resources to the illiterate, particularly women and children. He is also investing in artificial intelligence, biotech, and blockchain projects. Current Binance CEO Richard Teng highlighted the theme of "momentum" for the crypto industry, with around 4,000 attendees at the conference and 1 million streaming online.
