Dogecoin Gets a Dedicated Company to Build Out Its Ecosystem

Summary

Dogecoin Labs was formed with the Dogecoin Foundation to consolidate products, intellectual property and development teams into an independent organization focused on expanding DOGE’s everyday uses. It will operate MyDoge wallet, DogeOS app platform and Such App merchant-payment tools, with CEO Jordan Jefferson leading plans for products spanning payments, commerce, DeFi, gaming and social apps. The Foundation will retain stewardship and open-source advocacy, while Labs handles commercial development. DogeOS launched a public testnet in September, and MyDoge says it has more than 500,000 users. DOGE was around $0.084, down about 14% over the past month and roughly 88% below its 2021 peak.
