Ethereum Staking Hits Record As Price Surges To $2,700
Staked Ethereum reached a record high of 34.65 million ETH on the Beacon Chain, surpassing the previous record from November 2024. The amount staked has remained stable above 33 million ETH for the past year but began increasing again in June. Approximately 30% of the circulating supply of Ether, which is 120.8 million, is now staked. Analysts anticipate the approval of spot Ether ETF staking by the US Securities and Exchange Commission, with potential launches expected in the coming weeks. BlackRock's iShares Ethereum Trust has been actively accumulating ETH without any outflows for 23 consecutive trading days. Despite a 50% price increase over the past two years, ETH prices recently surged over 8% to $2,700, marking a two-week high and facing resistance at this price level.
