Franklin Templeton Debuts 'Intraday Yield' Feature for Benji
Franklin Templeton has launched an "Intraday Yield" feature for investors holding tokenized assets, allowing yield accrual down to the second. This feature enables yield earning even on non-banking days, including weekends and holidays. It will be integrated into the Benji tokenization platform and aims to address inefficiencies in traditional finance related to yield calculation and distribution. Traditionally, yield is calculated at the end of the trading day, often disadvantaging investors who trade within a session. Franklin Templeton manages $1.53 trillion in assets and oversees a significant tokenized treasury fund with $750 million in assets. The market for tokenized assets has grown to $23.14 billion as of June 9, 2025, reflecting a 46.92% increase since January. Other asset managers like BlackRock and VanEck are also involved in tokenized funds, managing over $2.94 billion in tokenized Treasurys.
