EU investors rank crypto above retirement plans for lasting wealth creation: OKX survey

Summary

An OKX survey of 1,932 people who had previously invested in crypto found that 19% of respondents in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Poland chose cryptocurrency as a lasting wealth-building tool, compared with 8% who chose traditional retirement plans. In the US, retirement accounts were preferred by 21%, versus 12% for crypto. Real estate ranked first overall at 34%. Across all respondents, 51% expected to increase their crypto allocation; boomers were notably more skeptical. The findings come as US policy debates continue over allowing digital assets in retirement plans: federal agencies have moved toward broader access, while several lawmakers have urged withdrawal of a related Labor Department proposal.
