Franklin Templeton, Ondo Finance Bring 24/7 Tokenized ETF Trading to Crypto Users
Franklin Templeton and Ondo Finance are partnering to offer tokenized versions of five Franklin Templeton ETFs, including high-yield corporate, focused growth, and responsibly sourced gold ETFs. These tokenized funds will allow global investors without traditional brokerage accounts to access and trade the ETFs 24/7. The initiative aims to expand investment opportunities for digital-native audiences and integrate traditional assets within emerging blockchain-based financial ecosystems. The offerings will run on Ondo's tokenized securities platform, Ondo Global Markets, which holds over $620 million in total value locked but excludes U.S. users. Franklin Templeton has prior experience with tokenized assets, having launched tokenized money market funds on several blockchains. This move follows similar tokenization initiatives by major financial institutions, including the NYSE and Nasdaq.
