Luxor Technology raises $16M to expand AI hardware brokerage and compute trading
Luxor Technology, a Bitcoin mining services company, raised $16 million in a round led by CMT Digital, with investments from equipment makers Canaan and MicroBT. It plans to expand its AI hardware brokerage and computing-power trading businesses. Luxor is also developing contracts that let buyers and sellers lock in future computing prices, addressing demand for protection against price volatility in the emerging AI compute market. The company said it works with miners representing nearly two gigawatts of power capacity, though many facilities need new data centers to support AI workloads. Luxor introduced an index tracking Nvidia AI server asking prices to improve market transparency. The move reflects a broader shift by mining companies toward AI, while some operators continue expanding Bitcoin mining.
