Metaplanet Bitcoin Holdings Outdoes Tesla With 1,234 BTC Buy
Metaplanet, Japan's largest corporate Bitcoin treasury, has acquired an additional 1,234 Bitcoin, increasing its total holdings to 12,345 BTC. This positions Metaplanet ahead of Tesla's 11,509 BTC. The company ranks seventh among corporate Bitcoin treasuries and is close to CleanSpark's 12,502 BTC. The latest purchase was made at an average price of 15.6 million yen (approximately $108,000) per coin. Metaplanet plans to expand significantly, with a goal to acquire 201,112 BTC by 2027 under its "555 Million Plan," which requires over $21 billion at current prices. The company has also approved a capital contribution of up to $5 billion to accelerate this plan. Other companies are similarly increasing their Bitcoin holdings, including Nakamoto Holdings and Parataxis Holdings, which are pursuing new capital for acquisitions.
