Microsoft (MSFT), Alphabet (GOOG), Goldman Sachs (GS) join objections to OKX-ICE tokenized stock trading
Summary
Microsoft, Alphabet and Goldman Sachs are among seven companies newly objecting to OKX and ICE’s proposed tokenized-stock trading venue, alongside Qualcomm, Caterpillar, McDonald’s and Western Digital. The updated notice lists 16 objecting companies, up from nine, while 15 of the 62 companies originally represented in the proposed ticker roster have objected. The notice gives no reasons or dates for the objections. OKX and ICE announced the venue on Oct. 5 and plan to seek the SEC’s five-year Innovation Exemption, which would permit qualifying venues to trade tokenized U.S. stocks through automated market makers and liquidity pools while allowing issuers to object.
