Monero Vets Launch New 'Confidential-by-Default' Crypto Network Tari
Tari has launched its mainnet, focusing on privacy and mining accessibility, led by former Monero developers. The network aims to address shortcomings in existing blockchains, emphasizing an easy onboarding process requiring only three steps. Tari ensures confidentiality by default, hiding transaction amounts and user addresses to enhance safety and protect users from surveillance and malicious actors. The platform has attracted over 700,000 participants in its airdrop program and nearly 100,000 testnet miners since its September testnet launch. Users can mine through the Tari Universe app, send or receive the native XTM token, and earn rewards for inviting others. The Tari ecosystem plans to develop decentralized protocols and applications, prioritizing user security and anonymity over traditional surveillance models.
