More than 70 US crypto ETFs await SEC decision this year — Bloomberg
More than 70 cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are under review by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) this year, covering a variety of assets including altcoins and memecoins. Institutional interest in crypto is rising, with over 80% of institutions planning to increase crypto allocations by 2025. However, analysts warn that ETF approval does not ensure widespread adoption, particularly for obscure cryptocurrencies. Altcoin ETFs are expected to attract cumulative inflows of several hundred million to $1 billion, significantly less than Bitcoin funds, which garnered over $100 billion last year. ETFs utilizing options and derivatives may see greater institutional interest due to their potential for innovative portfolio strategies. ARK Invest has added staked Solana to two of its ETFs, marking the first availability of spot SOL for US investors in an ETF.
