Most Americans say the Trump family’s crypto investments are not ‘appropriate’: Poll
A Reuters/Ipsos poll found most US respondents think it is inappropriate for President Donald Trump and his family to profit from cryptocurrency while he is in office. In the Aug. 14–17 survey of 1,166 adults, 63% said it was not appropriate. Partisan views split sharply: 69% of Republicans said it was appropriate, while 92% of Democrats said it was not. The poll follows reports that Trump earned about $1.4 billion from crypto-related investments in 2025 through ventures including World Liberty Financial and the Official Trump memecoin. The White House has said there are no conflicts of interest. Some lawmakers have called for investigations into the family’s crypto holdings. Trump has also publicly backed crypto legislation aimed at clarifying US digital asset regulation.
