MVMT Labs bankruptcy lists under $1 million in assets after $38M raise
MVMT Labs, the original developer behind Movement Network, filed Chapter 11 Subchapter V in Delaware on July 15 with only $100,001 to $1 million in estimated assets and $1 million to $10 million in liabilities. It is the only named debtor; Movement Network, the Foundation, Move Industries, Movement Limited, and the MOVE token are not debtors. The core issue is what property, contracts, IP, token interests, cash, and claims actually belonged to MVMT when the case began. Movement’s 2025 reorganization shifted operating responsibilities to Move Industries, but public disclosures do not identify what assets or rights, if any, were transferred or what consideration was paid. That leaves creditors dependent on schedules, first-day filings, and transaction documents to determine whether estate property can be recovered or avoided as a prepetition transfer. The network and token remained active, but operational activity does not answer who owns the underlying value. Key deadlines include the creditors’ meeting on Aug. 20, second-day hearing on Aug. 27, claims deadline on Sept. 14, and plan deadline on Oct. 13.
