NFT project plans crowdfund purchase of Cold War nuclear bunker
A doomsday-themed Solana NFT project, Dead Bruv, aims to sell 100,000 NFTs to purchase a Cold War-era nuclear bunker in Rutland, England. The project will mint 100,000 NFTs, with 10,000 airdropped to Meatbags holders, and sales starting April 21 at $14 each. NFT holders will join a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) called the Billionaire Bunker Club, which will govern decisions regarding the bunker if purchased. The bunker is listed for £650,000 ($862,257) with an auction on April 24. Built in 1960 and decommissioned in 1968, it was designed to monitor nuclear activity. The initiative originated from a joke, aiming to make NFTs more engaging and creative. Previous DAOs have attempted similar crowdfunding efforts, with mixed results.
