Oklahoma senator introduces Bitcoin Freedom Act for BTC payments

The act aims to protect earnings amid inflation, establishing a secure framework for Bitcoin use in the state. Participation is voluntary, aligning with free-market principles. Deevers emphasizes Bitcoin's role in the financial future and criticizes central bank digital currencies for potential government overreach. Inflation in the U.S. has risen since September 2024, currently at 2.7%. In May 2024, Oklahoma enacted a law supporting blockchain firms and crypto mining. The Bitcoin Freedom Act will be considered in the legislative session starting February 3.
