OKX fires back at Tron's Justin Sun over mysterious 'freeze notice'
OKX founder and CEO Star Xu defended the exchange against accusations from Tron founder Justin Sun regarding inaction on a law enforcement request to freeze stolen funds after a hack of Tron’s official X account. Xu stated that OKX cannot freeze funds based solely on personal posts or oral communications and confirmed that no official request had been received through their channels, including the spam box. Sun claimed that he had no other way to contact OKX’s compliance department and emphasized his intent to protect the community. Xu challenged Sun to provide evidence of the alleged law enforcement request. The incident follows several recent security breaches involving high-profile crypto accounts on X, including hacks affecting Kaito AI and other entities.
