Polygon brings US banking access to Solana’s $15 billion stablecoin market
Polygon expanded its Open Money Stack to Solana, allowing eligible overseas businesses to access US banking rails in their legal names without forming a US entity. The service links bank transfers, cards, cash and crypto with stablecoin conversion, Solana wallets and payouts, and supports transfers across several blockchains. It targets fintech, remittance and payment firms seeking cross-border dollar services. The launch builds on Polygon’s earlier Solana routing integration and adds banking, accounts, custody and fiat payouts. Access requires business and customer identity checks, is subject to geographic and corridor restrictions, and remains in early access. Solana reportedly has more than $15 billion in stablecoins, compared with about $3 billion on Polygon.
