President Trump Names Meta, Nvidia CEOs to White House Tech and Science Council
President Donald Trump has established the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST), naming leading technology executives including Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang, Oracle founder Larry Ellison, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, AMD CEO Lisa Su, and Dell Technologies CEO Michael Dell. The council will be co-chaired by entrepreneur David Sacks and former U.S. Chief Technology Officer Michael Kratsios. Other members include Coinbase co-founder Fred Ehrsam, venture capitalist Marc Andreessen, fusion energy executives Jacob DeWitte and Bob Mumgaard, former Google quantum computing researcher John Martinis, entrepreneur David Friedberg, and Oracle CEO Safra Catz. PCAST may ultimately comprise up to 24 members. The council will focus on opportunities and challenges presented by emerging technologies and their impact on the American workforce, aiming to ensure broad prosperity during technological advancement. Its creation continues a tradition of presidential science advisory boards in the U.S. The announcement follows a national policy framework for AI that recommends regulating AI through existing federal agencies.
