RedotPay enters South Korea with crypto-powered payment cards
RedotPay has launched cryptocurrency-enabled payment cards in South Korea, accepted at all Visa-supporting merchants. The cards, both physical and virtual, are part of RedotPay's global expansion strategy, following a partnership with Visa and StraitsX in February 2025. Founded in 2023, RedotPay has over 4 million users worldwide. In South Korea, virtual cards cost $10 and physical cards $100, requiring minimal verification. The cards support major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and Ether, as well as stablecoins such as USDC and USDt. A real-time payment and refund system allows instant deductions and quick refunds. RedotPay is compatible with Apple Pay, enhancing its competitive edge. Crypto adoption is rising in South Korea, with over 16 million holders. Political candidates are promising crypto-friendly policies, including spot crypto ETFs and regulatory frameworks for stablecoins.
