Robinhood posts record quarter as crypto revenue slides 38%

Summary

Robinhood reported record Q2 results, with revenue up 32% year over year to $1.31 billion and net income up 48% to $573 million. Transaction-based revenue rose 44% to $776 million, driven by strong growth in event contracts, options, and equities, which more than offset weakness in crypto. Crypto transaction revenue fell 38% to $100 million, while crypto trading volume totaled $40 billion, split between the Robinhood app and Bitstamp. The company continued expanding its crypto business by acquiring WonderFi and, after quarter-end, launching Robinhood Chain’s public mainnet, tokenized U.S. stocks in over 120 countries, and Robinhood Earn. Platform growth remained strong, with record net deposits of $21.7 billion, total platform assets up 32% to $369 billion, and funded customers rising to 28.4 million. Robinhood also narrowed its 2026 expense outlook.
