Shiba Inu Smashes Records—1 Billion Transactions And Counting
Shibarium, the Layer-2 blockchain of Shiba Inu, has processed over 1 billion transactions since its launch in August 2023. This milestone indicates significant adoption of the Shiba Inu token within the cryptocurrency market. Shibarium achieved this feat in less than two years, reaching 1 billion transactions by March 31, with a daily transaction volume of four million. The blockchain has over 193.93 million addresses interacting with it and has mined 10.23 million blocks, averaging a block time of 5.0 seconds. Shibarium's rapid achievement contrasts with Bitcoin, which took 15 years to reach the same transaction volume. Despite initial technical issues that caused a two-week downtime post-launch, Shibarium has been operational since late August 2023.
