Sigma Capital’s $100M fund plans to invest in 100 Web3 projects
Sigma Capital has launched a $100 million investment fund targeting Web3 startups in the UAE and globally. The fund will focus on early-stage investments in decentralized finance, blockchain infrastructure, metaverse, gaming, and real-world asset tokenization. It will also allocate capital to a group of funds for diversification. Vineet Budki, former CEO of Cypher Capital, will lead the fund. The UAE is recognized as an emerging blockchain hub, attracting talent and favorable policies. In 2024, crypto-focused venture capital funding reached $13.6 billion, nearly 5% of total VC allocations. Galaxy Research predicts a 50% increase in crypto VC activity due to declining interest rates and regulatory clarity. RWA tokenization is expected to grow significantly, potentially reaching $30 trillion in five years.
