Singaporean Crypto Investors Boost XRP Holdings To 17%, Report Finds
Singapore's crypto landscape is evolving, with a notable increase in interest in XRP, which now constitutes 17% of crypto holdings, up from 14% last year. Bitcoin remains the dominant cryptocurrency, known by 91% of the population and making up 68% of average investors' portfolios. The 2025 Independent Reserve Crypto Index indicates that 94% of Singaporeans are familiar with at least one cryptocurrency, reflecting a maturing trading environment. Ethereum ownership has risen from 41% to 48%, while Solana increased from 17% to 19%. Most investors contribute less than $500 monthly, indicating crypto is viewed as a side investment. Stablecoins are also popular, with 46% of respondents owning or having owned them. Ripple's new RLUSD has quickly reached a $310 million market cap, aimed at cross-border payments and DeFi. XRP's growing adoption suggests it may become integral to retail and institutional strategies, despite Bitcoin's continued dominance.
