Singapore’s Grab taps Solana DePIN project Natix to ‘reshape mapping’
Grab has partnered with Natix, a project within Solana’s decentralized physical infrastructure network, to enhance mapping and autonomous driving technologies. The collaboration combines Natix’s blockchain-based mapping data with Grab’s AI-supported camera hardware. This partnership aims to provide real-time, high-fidelity map updates globally. Natix will introduce VX360, a device enabling Tesla drivers to collect and share 360° vehicle imagery, which will improve mapping solutions and support autonomous driving applications. Natix's decentralized approach allows drivers to monetize their data, addressing inefficiencies in traditional mapping methods. Grab is also expanding its blockchain initiatives, having recently partnered with Triple-A to accept multiple cryptocurrencies for services. Grab reported $773 million in revenue for Q1 2025, marking an 18% year-over-year increase.
