Solana Meme Coin Bonk Launches 'Kill-to-Earn' Shooter Game
Bonk launched its first officially licensed video game, Bonk Arena, developed by Bravo Ready. The game is a fast-paced, top-down arcade shooter accessible via web browsers and the Phantom wallet mobile app, with plans for release on the PSG1 gaming device. Players must pay 10,000 BONK to spawn, adopting a “pay-to-spawn, win-to-earn” model. The game features a $10,000 BONK reward pool for players and offers additional BONK tokens for social media content creation. All player actions are recorded on-chain, generating significant on-chain Bonk volume. Revenue is split, with half allocated to BONK burns and charity donations, while the other half supports the READY token buyback. Bonk, a meme coin created post-FTX collapse, aims to enhance utility through engaging gameplay and has previously supported various projects within the Solana ecosystem.
